Island Tennis was founded by Philip “PJ” Major Jr and Kevin “KJ” Major Jr., two decorated Bahamian tennis players who’ve represented the country from juniors through the Davis Cup.
As former players-turned-coaches, they saw a gap in junior development and built a solution:
– A locally rooted, internationally competitive program
– Structured training with mental, fitness, and recovery coaching
– A clear pipeline from youth tennis to college scholarships or pro-level play
Their mission is simple: to develop athletes who are prepared to succeed—on the court and in life.
Focus on form, footwork, and building strong fundamentals through drills and structured play.
More advanced training, introducing strategy, tournament preparation, and endurance conditioning.
Elite-level training for players pursuing scholarships, academies, or professional opportunities. Includes matchplay video review, fitness, mental coaching, and travel preparation.
